HOLLADAY, Barbara Snouwaert - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

LAFAYETTE — Barbara Jean Holladay, 79, Lafayette, died at 12:43 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Oct. 20, 1927, the daughter of Linn and Mae (Livingston) Snouwaert. She married Ray Holladay Jr. Aug. 21, 1949. He preceded in death Jan. 21, 1978. She graduated from Jackson High School in Odell and Indiana Business College. She was a surgical secretary at St. Elizabeth Hospital for more than 15 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her grandchildren, watching sports and she played the piano. She also enjoyed yard work, sewing and card games. Survivors include: two daughters, Pam Kennedy, Battleground and Patti (Fred) Combs, Noblesville; three grandchildren, Fred A. Combs, Lindsey McCaffry and Troy Kennedy; and a great-grandchild, Aiden McCaffry. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Hippensteel Chapel with Spiritual Counselor John Johnson officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. – jlr
